Plastic Build Up
My last year in school I was told to pick a social issue to investigate and portray in my designs. I chose plastic pollution within the world’s oceans. First, I collected data on the topic then designed a clock to represent my research. My clock shows how many pieces of plastic there are for every 8 miles in the ocean, which is 45,000 pieces of plastic. This clock is made entirely out of acrylic to help convey the plastic theme. The piece is one of a kind and completely hand-made through design and laser cutting.
